I’ve always dreamed of getting married in the woods, even before I met my husband, and when we found Captains Wood Barn, it was the only venue we needed to see, it ticked every single box. Everything about it is perfect. The lakes, the forest, the tractor rides, the bonfire, the barn… it’s all so magical and enchanting. Since the wedding, I haven’t stopped getting messages from guests saying how amazing it was and that it was the best wedding they’ve ever attended. I honestly couldn’t have wished for a better day. The owners are wonderful and so helpful every step of the way. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us on our special day.

Amanda and I got married here on the 27th September 2025 and we were absolutely blown away by the whole experience. Despite it being dry hire, John went above and beyond to make sure the whole day ran smoothly, and also pitched in when one of our vendors let us down. There were extra touches too which everyone really appreciated and all of our guests couldn't stop singing it's praise. The venue itself is unique, stunning, and great value for money. You wouldn't be disssapointed if you got married here, it exceeded all of our expectations.

Captains Barn Wood is a truly magical place to get married. The owners are attentive and welcoming and allow for so much personalisation. The barn is a fantastic space for your reception and you can really make it feel like your own. The woodland is the most perfect place for a secluded and romantic ceremony. As you walk down the winding path, through the trees, towards the ceremony area, it feels so special and it was an absolute dream for a wedding photographer. There is so much space for drinks and lawn games and every part of the grounds that you wander into feels more special than the next. There was even a designated space for a bonfire so toasting marshmallows is a must! A dream venue for any couple who love nature and want their own private and special space to get married in. I would highly recommend and can't wait to come back to photograph more beautiful weddings here.

Not only was the venue absolutely beautiful, the owners made it, they put in so much love & support throughout the two years of our planning. We couldn’t have asked for better host’s & hospitality, you can really see the love & care they put into their land. Honestly the absolute best & wish we could do it every year 🥹😍💕

Gosh I dont know how I can put into words how incredible this place is! We got married at CWB in July and it was the most magical day we could have ever hoped for. The communication with CWB throughout the planning phase was exceptional and they were so accommodating. During the wedding weekend throughout setting up, taking down and they wedding day itself they were fantastic, there enough to help when needed but also gave us space to crack on with whatever needed doing. A truly magical venue that wowed all our guests (the tractor rides especially) and the most perfect venue and wonderful family. I can only hope I get invited to a wedding their in the future so I can come back and relive the magic that is this venue! Thank you so much for having us!

Where do we start... We couldn't have wished for a better venue for our big day. The whole family running the place were soo helpful and incredibly accomodating. They even helped us come up with unique ideas for our wedding. We looked at soo many venues, but when we viewed this one, we just cancelled the rest and booked straight away. Other venues tell you exactly how your day will run, not here. You book it, and then the rest is up to your imagination. The amount of compliments we got from our guests was truly overwhelming! The most wonderful venue for a wedding (my son & daughter in law). From start to finish this place is just magical. You can provide your own theme and just make a special day so memorable here. The host is just lovely and so very helpful. Definitely would recommend.

I don't even know where to begin to explain just how incredible Captains Wood Barn is! It was the first venue we viewed and we instantly knew we didn't need to look anywhere else because its absolutely stunning. The continued support and flexibility from Manjit, John, Bob & Sally was just incredible from the word go and they went above and beyond to ensure that we had the most perfect day! Our service ended up running an hour or so late (through absolutely no fault of the venues I may add - totally our fault) and the whole team did an amazing job of keeping our guests comfortable and entertained during the wait. We had so many compliments on the day and have continued to do so ever since because everything about it is just impeccable! I cannot recommend CWB enough honestly - you will not find a more beautiful venue with such endearing and helpful owners, we will forever be grateful to them for helping us to have the Wedding of our dreams!

What a venue! What hosts! This was the most perfect venue for our wedding, it was simply stunning and the support we had from John,bob, Manjit and sally was impeccable. Highly recommend and wish could give 10 stars!!
