Overpriced Christmas Lunch. Thinking it was good quality I booked Christmas day lunch for myself and my daughter. What a disappointment. I was unaware that it had been taken over by new proprietors. The starters were good but the main course was supposed to be turkey and all the trimmings. However there were no trimmings the carrots were supposed to be glazed but we're just plain boiled. There were no parsnips or pigs in blankets nor was there any stuffing so I don't know what they meant by trimmings! The Brussels sprouts were bitter and had obviously been kept warm for a while. Desert was ok but nothing special and we were supposed to have petit fors with our tea/coffee but they didn't appear. The tea appeared with the milk already added and was insipid looking and very weak, surely they could supply milk in a jug so we could decide on the quantity we prefer. I have had many better Sunday lunches at other pubs and feel most aggrieved at paying £100 a head for a very mediocre meal. Not somewhere I would recommend. I also visited the toilets and was appalled to find the floor was flooded, there was no toilet paper and no soap. My daughter visited the ladies and it was exactly the same. Just not acceptable in this day and age

Had lunch in the bar, great bar menu at a reasonable price. French onion soup was fantastic and the sandwich was fresh, tasty and came with a lovely side salad. Highly recommend popping in for a drink or something to eat.

Superb lunch today at The Bull, Great Totham. The menu was extensive with plenty of flavoursome options to suit most palettes. We opted for the weekday lunchtime over 50s menu which was fantastic value. The quality of the food was only surpassed by the attentiveness, warmth and first class customer service provided by Natalie. A terrific asset for the business.

My husband and I visited for an evening meal. There's plenty of parking, and the interior is clean and comfortable. The food was very good, with plenty of flavour, and it was well-cooked. The serving staff were pleasant and polite, but service was, as overheard from another diner, inattentive, and not often visible. We went to the bar to pay our bill, but part way through the process, the member of staff stopped dealing with us to hug friends who had just arrived, leaving us standing there, waiting.

My first visit, but i will return. I was at a meeting there and had fish and chips. It was very good although when i saw some of the other dishes coming out i did have a bit of food envy!! The service was very good too

I would stay again if they could sort a number pf small issues. Important stuff first: The breakfast was lovely. I slept really well. However, the following made for a less than perfect stay: The bedroom was barely in range of the Wi-Fi. I had to use hot-spot on my phone in the window to make it reach the bed. The TV was smaller than most places in the £80-100 a night range. The shower had a good amount of mould in the sealant/grouting. Some of the tiles on the floor were loose. I arrived on the cusp of last orders on a Sunday, so perhaps that was why I didn't know some of these things like where to go for breakfast, where to check out etc. There are virtually no outdoor lights lit after dark. Just a little solar flame lamp. There are no signs telling you where to go anywhere on the site. A little TLC, a booklet in the room and maybe a torch would solve most issues.

Nice little pub, average selection of beers. Don't count on them to make you food though. They couldn't even knock up some chips at 4pm on a Saturday!

We met a large group of friends here for a meal. Great food and atmosphere. Large beer garden and play park too.

Bedroom nicely decorated and comfortable, extra heating and fan available if needed. The walkway from the car park to the rooms is not lit up. Arrived back late from party, pitch black so had to park on the walkway, leave headlights on so that an elderly person could get to the room safely. This needs addressing. Perhaps provide smaller kettles in the rooms so that they can be filled up? The kettles are too big for the sink and angle of the tap, so you can't actually fill it. Teabags and coffee sachets provided but no milk, means that you've got to make sure that you're decent to go into the restaurant to ask for milk. Not ideal, please leave those little pots of uht milk in rooms or at least ask the guest if they'd like some when handing over keys. Delicious breakfast but I really didn't think much of the way the empty cups were carried to the table , the young man had his fingers inside the cup - not nice.
